Beyond its default Razor Feathers, a tamed Yi Ling can be loaded with various consumables to apply specialized status effects through its feathers:     

• Biotoxin → Inflicts high torpor     
• Nameless Venom → Applies poison damage-over-time (DoT)    
• Sap → Applies a slowing debuff     
• Volatile Gas Balls → Applies an armor-reduction debuff  

The number of feathers embedded in a target directly influences:     

• Total damage / torpor for Razor, Sedative, and Poison feathers     
• Total debuff duration for Sap and Volatile feathers (up to 60 seconds)  

Performing a dive attack transfers a portion of the feather stacks to nearby creatures, allowing efficient multi-target setup.

A tamed Yi Ling excels at executing feathered targets through devastating dive attacks.     

• Dive damage scales inversely with the target’s remaining HP, beginning at roughly 50% health     
• Maximum dive damage can reach nearly 2.5× base dive damage     
• Damage calculation assumes maximum feather stacks applied  

Example: An imprinted Yi Ling with ~900% melee damage can deal:    

•  ~4,800 damage to a fully feathered, healthy target     
• 10,000+ damage to a target near death  

Poison feathers are exceptionally lethal:     

• ~1,200 damage per tick for 14 ticks on large creatures (e.g., Diplodocus)  

Tamed Yi Lings draw aggro, making Basilisk taming significantly easier.     

• Hover above the Basilisk while dropping eggs     
• The Basilisk often forces its head into terrain, preventing poison attacks     
• Use a weight-leveled Yi Ling for best results

By loading Biotoxin, the Yi Ling becomes an excellent torpor applicator:     

• High torpor output     
• Minimal health damage     
• Ideal for controlled knockouts
