The Megalosaurus is significantly weakened during daylight hours, rapidly exhausting its stamina. Once night falls, its stamina and melee damage increase substantially, transforming it into a highly effective mount for nocturnal combat.

On the Aberration map, the Aberrant Megalosaurus does not suffer from sleep deprivation and can remain active indefinitely. Free from this limitation, it stands among the highest sustained-DPS theropods available in PvE, surpassed only by extreme apex creatures such as the Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus.  With a base damage of 94 (approximately 125 with mate boost) and an exceptionally fast attack speed, it can rival or outperform Reapers in prolonged engagements. Its ability to be bred and benefit from mate boost further elevates its effectiveness in organized PvE combat.

Despite its damage potential, it falls behind larger apex creatures in mobility and attack range. Its smaller classification results in frequent aggression from medium-sized threats, and although immune to radiation, irradiated zones remain hazardous due to constant harassment and the threat of Aberrant Purlovia dismounts.
