Rock Drakes can detect nearby wild Reapers that are not part of their tribe. When one is close, the feathers along the Drake’s crown flare while its head scans side to side, providing a clear natural warning. This ability makes Rock Drakes extremely valuable for safely locating Reapers, preparing for engagements, hunting Alpha Reapers, farming Reaper Pheromone Glands, and tracking down Queens to secure embryos.

Rock Drake babies will not eat Raw Meat and instead require specialized food — Nameless Venom. This is obtained by killing Nameless and looting the item cache they drop (if it has not been automatically collected by the killing tame). Farming venom is relatively easy with any moderately strong mount, provided the Nameless are killed quickly to prevent them from summoning a Subterranean Reaper King.  

Nameless can be found across most of Aberration; simply travel outside the Fertile zone without Charge Light active to force them to emerge. Each venom restores 400 Food and may also be requested during imprinting, so keeping a small stockpile is recommended. Nameless Venom cannot be refrigerated, however, if you own the Bob’s Tall Tales DLC, you can drop a bag on a Platform Cart to automatically transfer the venom into a Tek Trough, allowing it to be preserved through the trough’s spoil timer.
